Drapery Linings 101: How to Choose
Here at M&A, they come standard with cotton or blackout. And you can oomph them up a bit with interlining. But the question is: what's the difference?

Getting into the Details
Cotton
A 100% sateen cotton that allows light to subtly filter through your drapery or shade. It's the lighter lining of our two standard options when a diffused light look is desired. This lining is a soft white in color and comes standard with any drapery or shade item.
Blackout
A premium lining that blocks light completely from shining through your panels. Especially great for bedrooms but we also like to recommend it on drapery in any general areas to eliminate an illuminated look through panels. While its name may suggest otherwise, this lining is ivory in color and mimics a woven fabric. This option comes standard with any drapery or shade item.
Interlining
A flannel-like material, this lining is an optional layer that lies between the face fabric and the lining. It aids in providing plushness and a softer hand to drapery panels.
Interlining also acts as an insulating factor to help keep the heat out in summer and the cold out in winter. This option comes standard with all shade items but is an optional upgrade for draperies.
